Gulikan Thara

Gulikan Thara is the sanctimonious offering place for the Lord Gulikan. Gulikan is nothing but a variant form of Lord Shiva himself.

Gulikan is depicted as the destroyer of Ego. The ego which kills the happiness is the natural obstruction to the prosperity of the individual members as well as the society.

A traditional pooja , here is to remove the ego and a sincere effort to cleanse the body and mind.  This is clearly evident in the pooja offerings here.  Eggs, alcohol, tobacco are offered which reminds the surrender of the intoxicating egos of the human mind.

Ego is hence surrendered to the Gulikan, which is the feet of Lord Shiva.
